We had fun in the sun with a visit from the ice cream van to celebrate winning the TES schools award for Innovative Use of Technology to Influence Outcomes!
We enjoyed our visit to the War Memorial museum in Belfast. We were able to answer all the questions about WW2 and had lots of fun looking at the artefacts and trying on old uniforms in the museum.
We enjoyed estimating then measuring around our classroom with metre sticks, trundle wheels and tape measures.
We enjoyed decorating pots and planting marigold seeds with the help of our parents and grandparents on Eco Day.
We had a busy week taking part in lots of fun science activities! We started off with a Science show from W5 then went on to design and make our own planets - Mrs Todd was flabbergasted by the work we put into them! We carried out an experiment called ‘Confusing Cans’ linked to our forces topic and took part in the British Science Week poster competition which involved researching an explorer. Can you guess why we chose Ronald Amundsen?
